ABTA Protection

We are a Member of ABTA (Number P8607) through our group owner, The Good Travel Agent, which means you have the benefit of ABTA’s assistance and Code of Conduct. We provide financial protection for your money when you buy a package holiday. If you buy other travel arrangements such as accommodation only this protection doesn’t apply.

When you book with an ABTA Member you can expect high service standards, fair terms of trading and accurate information. ABTA’s strict joining criteria for Members, code of conduct, customer helpline and complaints resolution scheme are all there to give you confidence and peace of mind when booking your travel arrangements. For package holidays that do not include flights, financial protection is often provided by the operator through an ABTA bond. Please refer to the individual operator’s booking conditions for full details.

ATOL Protection

If your booking is ATOL protected, the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) will ensure, in the unlikely event of the operator’s insolvency, that you are not stranded abroad and that any payments made for advance bookings are refunded. For more details, visit the CAA website.

Many of the flight and flight-inclusive holidays we book are financially protected by the ATOL scheme. But ATOL protection does not apply to all holiday and travel services. Please ask us to confirm what protection may apply to your booking. If you do not receive an ATOL Certificate then the booking will not be ATOL protected. If you do receive an ATOL Certificate but all the parts of your trip are not listed on it, those parts will not be ATOL protected.

If you receive an ATOL Certificate:

Review it carefully to ensure all parts of your trip are listed.
Only the listed parts will be ATOL protected.

No Financial Protection

If you book standalone arrangements, such as accommodation only or car hire, the financial protections under ABTA and ATOL do not apply. If financial protection is important to you, we recommend purchasing appropriate travel insurance or opting for a package holiday.
